King David was a shepherd before he lived in a castle. When fear started to creep in before big decisions he had to face with his nation, he reflected on the simpler times in his life when he was leading sheep. Early on, David noticed how God was also a shepherd to him! Here's some encouragement from Psalm 23!

In the New Testament of the Bible, James challenges us to think through trials as opportunities. He doesn’t say "IF you face trials," but "WHENEVER you face them." He assumes that we WILL have trials and that it is possible to profit from them! Check this out!

I choose to focus on being content. God has given so many good gifts, but some days I don’t even appreciate them because I too, just like my 6 year old son would like just one more thing to unwrap. Paul gives great encouragement in Philippians 4:11 -and he seems to have actually figured out this big secret!
