  • Joy Vs Happiness

Posted by Scott Herrold at Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 9:31 AM

Joy doesn't come from your circumstances, so it shouldn't affect your emotions much. Joy is totally different than happiness because it's one of the fruit of the spirit that develop by abiding in Jesus. (It's grounded cause it's a value) Scott Herrold explains more here!

  • What's the Difference Between Karma & Grace?

Posted by Scott Herrold at Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12:00 AM

Karma is different than what Jesus taught about reaping what you sow. Karma is the belief in a cycle that keeps churning based on good deeds and bad deeds. Karma leaves no room for grace or intervention from God! Karma isn't Biblical. Grace changes everything because Jesus took your place! Read more about it here! -Scott

  • God's Will Is Always Related To His Word...

Posted by Scott Herrold at Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 8:59 AM

When we want to know God's will, we have to read his Word. Believe it or not, The Bible is the first place Jesus reveals his heart for us. The Psalmist said, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

There's a consistent theme through Psalm 119 about how the Word of God is all sufficient. Not somewhat trustworthy or compartmentalized to faith topics, or valuable with some of your work stress. God says He is ALL sufficient, so his Word is sufficient for every thing. (It's relevant to every situation - CLICK HERE for more!

  • Reckless Love? Love With Abandon?

Posted by Scott Herrold at Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 8:05 AM

In Proverbs, King Solomon challenges us to love with abandon.  He said, "When you live a life of abandoned love, surrendered before the awe of God, here’s what you’ll experience: Abundant life. Continual protection. And complete satisfaction! (Read more in Proverbs 19:23 TPT) What does it mean to really love with abandon? More here!

  • Where you place your eyes affects your focus!

Posted by Scott Herrold at Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 7:02 AM

Your worldview matters because where you place your eyes affects your focus! In Romans 12, the Apostle Paul says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (NIV) Maybe instead of saying our citizenship, I should say our identity has to be centered on God before everything else, or we'll eventually find ourselves in a web of confusion. Here's an ever deeper thought.... • Miracles Aren't Patterns Like The Scientific Method

Posted by Scott Herrold at Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 7:19 AM

Miracles are simply things that don't follow the organized pattern of the scientific method. Science seeks to find measurable patters that we can follow and replicate. Doesn't it excite you that God is bigger and more powerful than patterns? Doesn't it excite you that God had the intelligence and foresight to plan out the universe himself? Doesn't it excite you that our holy God is bigger, stronger and so pure that he's outside the scope of our fallen world, and He STILL chooses to intervene and personally rescue us?

  • Gratefulness is a Key to Beating Anxiousness!

Posted by Scott Herrold at Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 7:16 AM

In Paul's letter to the Philippians, he explained that gratefulness is a key part of beating anxiousness! He said, Don't be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." What if the only things you have tomorrow are the things you thank God for today? • Clarity & Truth Are Directly Related

Posted by Scott Herrold at Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 8:47 AM

If you have trouble finding clarity in your prayers, think about how you look at absolute truth. If you allow your feelings or your circumstances change the way you see truth, you're not going to see much clarity. • Tough Question: How Do We Take Our Thoughts Captive?

Posted by Scott Herrold at Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 7:05 AM

I had an email from Kelli. She asked, how do we live a life at work and renew our mind each day like the Bible talks about? We Ask God to do it! In Romans 12, Paul warns us, “Don’t conform to this age. Instead, be transformed by renewing your minds.”

I’ve found the best way to stay grounded in this is to go out of our way to make God’s word (The Bible) my moral and spiritual foundation. I try to line up all my logic to make sure it falls under the authority of the Bible. MORE HERE!

Posted by Scott Herrold at Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 7:08 AM

I woke up this morning heart broken after I heard the news of two people being shot just within walking distance of our SOS Radio studios after protests turned to riots last night in Las Vegas. Yesterday, I heard that some people in the riots in DC defaced the Lincoln Memorial and the World War 2 Memorial in the National Mall. My heart hurts for my city and our country. This morning I needed a pause to refocus on God's goodness because our world sure needs His restoration and refocus. Here's how. Click here...

  • Seasons Do Change. Today Is A Perfect Example

Posted by Scott Herrold at Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 10:24 AM

Today is the first day of spring, and today is a perfect example of how seasons DO change. Think about it. King Solomon wrote a memoir about 2300 years ago called Ecclesiastes. He was considered the wisest man who ever lived. He said, "pay attention to the seasons because they always change. There’s a right time for everything." (Click here for more)

Posted by Scott Herrold at Monday, August 5, 2019 at 7:13 AM

Every time we see another attack on innocent people, we start to ask WHY. I've also learned to ask WHO.

Who is this God that we want to frame evil, suffering & pain on? Who is this God we want to prevent tragedy? Who is this God we feel isn't doing his job? Who is this God we want to see heal our community? Who is this God who offers to take our fear and anxiety?

Hint - it's the same person we want to frame love, acceptance, joy, peace & healing on! (Click here for more!)
