I'm Building my Kids, and God is Building Me

Being a parent is sort of overwhelming, isn't it?

It's incredibly important, and also relatively thankless. It's too big of a job for just one person... and it never really ends.

Suddenly, I feel like I have a whole new sympathy for Noah.

He's supposed to build this huge boat - way too big of a job for just him. The stakes are high. If he fails, it's the end of mankind. And animal kind. High pressure.

I'm sure there were times he wanted to say to God, "Hey, God. You're big and powerful, almighty and all that. How about YOU build this boat, and you wake me up when it's done?"

And I can imagine God saying back to me (I mean Noah), "I'm with you. While you're building the boat... I'm building YOU."
