Where you place your eyes affects your focus!

The Apostle Paul shares some timeless wisdom in Romans 12, “As a believer in Jesus, I urge you, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (NIV)

Your worldview matters because where you place your eyes affects your focus!

As Jesus followers, our citizenship is actually in God's Kingdom, not in worldly things like our job, our family or the values our city champions. Maybe instead of saying our citizenship, I should say our identity has to be centered on God before everything else, or we'll eventually find ourselves in a web of confusion.

Our producer Chris Gabriel & I were talking about movie God's Not Dead 2. The main character Grace said, “I would rather stand with God and be judged by the world than stand with the world and be judged by God.”

We can stand strong when our identity is in Jesus, because we've chosen to make Him our foundation. Jesus never changes. His truth is eternal, so He's the perfect center. When we focus on God's eternity, we'll come to understand how He's so much bigger, stronger and clearer than the broken processes of our world.

Here's the million dollar question: What's it going to take for you to move from the place where God isn't just a part of your life, but He's actually your center?
